"We loved it!"

As a mother of 5 children, but sadly, could only take two on this trip, I
absolutely treasured every minute of this jewel of a resort. The room,
location, beach, pool access to outside eating were truly a rest for me.
The kindness of the hosts and advice for daily road trips was very
appreciated. My husband and I raved about it all summer. We traveled in
July and enjoyed the warmth of the location and beautifully kept grounds
and quiet surroundings. One of the best trips of our lives. The respect
that neighboring vacationers showed each other was great.
We'll be back
for sure!

The accommodations were nice and our room had an incredible view. The
couple that run the resort are exceptionally friendly. We had a very
enjoyable stay.

“Once again a wonderfull two weeks at Destiny”
We have, as a family group been vacationing at the Destiny as far back
as when it was called the Tillicum Nook. We just returned from a two
week vacation from Jul.23 to Aug. 4th.
The grounds, cleanliness of
the property and rooms were the best. Chris & Trish as usual were
great hosts and ensured our family (8 of us) were well cared for.
Chris
& Trish have done a great job in enhancing a very mature property.
The flowers and grass areas are beautiful and every year a few new enhancements are added to the kitchen area and furniture. There is an
area to mor the boat and improvements to the beach seating area
including new furniture..
We are sorry the old friends who witnessed
the Destiny go thru some sad times don't come back to enjoy the resort
as it was in it's good days. Thanks Chris & Trish.

TripAdvisor® May 26, 2011 | Trip type: Golf Group
This is the second stay at Destiny Beach for myself and spouse. This
time we attended with a group of 14 golfers and a few non golfers. Like
the last time we stayed, the units were clean, and were ready for us on
check in. We ate together as a group near the beach and had breakfast
together on the upper deck.
From the time that we made the
tentative booking in February to actually staying at the resort, both
Chris and Trish were so helpful with both the bookings, adding rooms,
making suggestions on change up of rooms plus!
I have been asked by the golf group to make this an annual event - and we might just do that.
My
suggestion to any other group - have the parties book their own units -
they can go on the web and see what the rooms look like, as well as the
guide for the rooms that Trish and Chris have developed.
I have to say that all our group felt welcome when they arrived at the resort.
Pets allowed in off season - this is a plus.

Everything was very clean and comfortable and the owners Chris and Trish
were super friendly and hospitable. The accommodations are well
maintained...and although they aren't new and modern, the rooms have
everything you might need for a weekend getaway.
The location is
peaceful and so charming with a cozy beach front area for lounging and BBQ. The heated outdoor pool is toasty warm which was great for us being
that we were there in May.
A big thanks to Chris and Trish for their
warm welcome and for all you did for us during our 3 night stay.
You
were the best of hosts and you will for sure see us again!

Here is a little of what they had to say:
"The pictures are not enhanced nor do they only showcase the good. In fact one of the most unusual things I encountered on the website were the testimonials, good AND bad! How often do you see honest testimonials on a hotel website? The other thing that was impressive about the testimonials is the owners addressed the concerns in the testimonials, and not in a defensive way. Yes I definitely started to get a sense this place was somewhat different."
Okay, one last final point – value for money. This family friendly, homey feeling resort with almost Mexican resort type flair to it has got to be the bargain of the century in Osoyoos. Our 6 night stay for our family of 5 with all the amenities was less than HALF of what the cheapest chain hotel on the strip was offering. Unbelievable value. Throw in the absolutely wonderful personal touch of Chris and Trish and this resort experience knocked our socks off. We will be back next year and the year after and the year after that… because we had so much fun – what a great vacation stay!"

Subject: our FABULOUS time at Destiny Beach
Hello Chris and Trish,
I was sitting here, checking out your web site and remembering our wonderful family vacation to Osoyoos this August. I was reading over the great reviews and even saw one from a family we met while vacationing there and hope to see at Destiny Beach again next summer =) Then I came across Chris' address and rebuttal to a unfavorable review found on "trip advisor". Let me say that I was and still am SHOCKED about what I read. This guest was staying at Destiny Beach at the exact same time as our family....we were also on the ground level, right beside the staircase that went up to the second floor and were directly across from the pool.
I feel that your web site describes the resort to a tee...there is nothing misleading or misrepresented. Everything was exactly as we expected and hoped it would be. The beach was great, wonderful music and shaded gazebos as well as ample beach chairs. The pool was clean and was always opened as promised at 10:00am and closed down by 10:00pm much to our daughters' dismay =( But great for us as we were right across and needed to settle them for the night.
The towel exchange was available every second day as well as soap etc...Chris always had a smile and a quick story for the children =) Trish helped us plan day trips and went the extra mile by searching out details on her computer. The resort was very family oriented as promised and the children were in heaven.
I can not wait for next August when we will return to sunny Osoyoos and definitely would stay no where else but at the Destiny Beach Resort. We have friends who went the following week and stayed at the NK'MIP resort and I don't think they had as great a time as we did.
I highly recommend anyone planning a family trip to Osoyoos to stay at the Destiny Beach Resort ~ the management team, the resort and facilities are second to none.
Hope you have a great big birthday party with your friends and family this fall Chris and we look forward to seeing you again next August.
Best,
Carolann, Costa, Chloe, Victoria and Lily Kallergis

TripAdvisor® Posting September 04, 2009.
I've had the pleasure of staying here on more than one occasion. I've
seen quite a bit of Osoyoos over the years and Destiny Beach Resort is
by far the best place to stay. No other establishment offers as many
amenities such as kitchens that are stocked with coffee makers, pots,
pans, dishes and cutlery, micro-waves, fridges with freezers (not bar
fridges), gazebos, barbeques, fire pits, direct access to the lake, a
private dock, heated pool, and friendly service for such a reasonable
and low cost.
While Destiny Beach Resort does not supply your food,
your coffee, or your personal maid service, they do supply you with
everything you need to enjoy your stay: clean towels, clean rooms,
clean common areas and extremely friendly and personal service if you
have any needs.
Destiny Beach Resort is 100% family oriented and is a
definite home away from home.

already looking forward to returning next year.
Thanks again,

"Chris, Trish & Ben!
Thanks so much for your hospitality. We had such a great time. Other than the lake & great weather we would come back because of the personal touches that made us feel so at home - the herbs, picking tomatoes, help with the BBQ and the girls running around after Ben!
Cheers!

We're glad for the chance to say something about "Destiny Beach Resort."
We have stayed at different resorts in this area, this is without a
doubt the most comfortable & enjoyable resort around. The view from
the deck out across the lake & mountains, the layout & comfort
of the suites, not to mention the friendliness & congeniality of
Trish & Chris our hostess and host makes it an ideal place to be.

We decided to stay at
Destiny Beach again this year, coming from the Wet Coast (Vancouver,BC)
and badly needing escape from the rain. We got just what we needed -
hot sun, great private beach away from the tourist spots, and pleasant
treatment by the hosts, Chris and Trish. We were a bit disappointed the
pool was not available but it was the fault of the supplier of the pool
liner who ordered the wrong size. By June 20th it was going to be back
in use. Meanwhile we were given a modest discount because of the
missing service.
The kids and their kids had a great time all 4 days we were there,
practically living on the beach in the hot sun. Meanwhile my wife and I
took the afternoons to go to nearby wineries and had exotic dishes and
great wines while absorbing all the warm sunshine and light breezes
near the orchards. I golfed at the Osoyoos Golf Club and got to enjoy
one of the most varied and beautiful golf courses (the Desert Course is
the best) and, although I played terribly, had a great time.
The rooms are showing their signs of aging and the owner keeps
threatening to re-build. But until then, for off season rates, we could
not complain. All the basics were there to have bbqs and home cooked
meals for the family. The gazebo and deck near the beach was a great
place to meet other guests and join in the guitar music until the wee
hours.
We have been going to Destiny Beach for 6 years except last year when
they were going to renovate (but didn't in the end) and will keep going
as long as we feel the simplicity and friendliness of the hosts stays
the way they have been. I hope they are still there next year...
